Raising Capital

The business landscape is littered with would-be entrepreneurs who've failed in their search for startup capital .

New entrepreneurs are typically major risks for lenders because: they lack business experience collateral to secure the loan or both.

Neither family, friends, banks, venture capital firms nor angel investors are interested in losing their investment. (And you wouldn’t be either.)

Population of Clinton? approximately 3000 and change $10 * 3000 = $30,000

Population of the Internet? approximately 2.2 billion users. What if each person gave half a cent? over $10,000,000 !!

Kickstarter.com Kickstarter, as discussed previously, is a funding platform for creative projects. + We have the opportunity for a $100 small project fund.

Activity You and a partner are going to ‘invest’ $100 on Kickstarter.com What you get out of this investment will be shared amongst the class You will come up with a proposal & presentation for that $100. You will present on Wednesday. The class will vote on which proposal to accept, and we will invest the $100.
