Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute Bratislava, Slovakia Points of Discussion Slovakia NEBUSOVA Stanislava 7th NEC-PI Meeting 19.6. - 20.6.2007 Brussels

Topics Discussion Notes NEC Scenario Analysis Report Nr. 4 Conclusion All answers and questions were discuss with ME SR.

Discussion Notes Point 3 – National Programmes and Projections Question 1: The proposed timing for the National Programmes and the frequency for the emission projections is OK for SR. Point 5 – Monitoring and Reporting Effects Question 1: SR prefers combination of options (2) and (3) for the new NEC Directive – option (4).

NEC Scenario Analysis Report Nr. 4 (1) Section 2.1.2: What Coherent scenario includes (all sectors or some sectors, in energy is included transport)? Section 2.3.1: In table 2.14 (agriculture projections) missing our National Projections which were send on 16 November 2006 accompanied the energy projections.

NEC Scenario Analysis Report Nr. 4 (2) Section 3 : Column „Coherent energy scenario and CAPRI MTR agricultural projections“ in tables in section 3 includes energy and agriculture projections, too? Column „National activity projections“ includes only energy sector!

NEC Scenario Analysis Report Nr. 5 Section 6.1: Is Benchmark scenario the same as Baseline scenario? If no, what is different. Because I do not see in this report what is the mean about it and the emission projections are similar to baseline. What is the base principle of it?

Conclusion At the moment representatives of the SR do not accept the Coherent scenario, because we are obliged according the legal authority to analyze this scenario under national circumstances and discuss it with major companies.
