Objective - To identify the appropriate units of measure for perimeter, area, and volume. Perimeter- is the distance around a figure. One dimension measure, length. Use linear units like in., ft, yd, cm, m, or km.

Area- is the measure of the surface of a figure. Two dimension measure: length and width. Use square units like in.2, ft 2, yd 2, cm 2, m 2, or km 2.

Volume- is the amount of space a solid figure occupies. Three dimension measure: length, width and height. Use cubic units like in.3, ft 3, yd 3, cm 3, m 3, or km 3.
