Economic and governmental differences Leaders believed that the styles of government (Dictatorship vs. Democracy) and economics (Communism vs. Capitalism) could not coexist.

Growing Mistrust

Growing Mistrust Stalin wanted Roosevelt and Churchill to open a western front in 1942. D-Day was launched on June 6, 1944 Millions of Soviets died in the meantime.

Growing Mistrust Over the fate of Eastern Europe Soviets wanted a buffer to prevent a future invasion. The West wanted to contain communism.
