Ananse & Kaman

Once upon a time in the greenest and most beautiful jungle of West Africa, there lived two best friends; Kaman the frog and Ananse the spider.

Kaman and Ananse did almost everything together Kaman and Ananse did almost everything together. The two friends made beautiful art pieces for many of the ceremonies that were held in the jungle.

Kaman and Ananse also sang and danced at the monthly rituals Kaman and Ananse also sang and danced at the monthly rituals. Here the stories of Ananse’s heroic deeds were very popular and everyone loved him.

Except for the one person who he thought would never stab him in the back.

One day while Ananse was away gathering materials to create their special pieces of art, Kaman snuck into his house and did a most wrongful deed.

Kaman stole the stories of Ananse for himself Kaman stole the stories of Ananse for himself. He thought to himself, “Now everyone will know of me as a great hero”!

The next night was the monthly ritual The next night was the monthly ritual. The jungle was beautifully decorated with flowers and plants of all colors and blazing fires filled the jungle with light.

Everyone was singing and dancing, having a wonderful time Everyone was singing and dancing, having a wonderful time. But the whole night, Kaman was nowhere to be found.
