George Washington Carver Written by Grace Spinello

Biography George Washington Carver was born in about 1864. He was a teacher and a botanist. In 1890 he began studying art and music in Iowa. Carver invented over 300 uses for the peanut. He was on the 1951-1954 half dollar. He died on January 5, 1943, when he fell down his own stairs.

Invention George Washington Carver was most famous for inventing over 300 uses for the peanut. Contrary to popular belief, Carver did not invent peanut butter. He did invent out of peanuts milk, plastics, dyes, cosmetics, medicinal oils, soap, ink, wood stains, and even peanut brittle. Lactose free people could now have milk and many products could have more organic ingredients.peanuts can be used to make emulsion for Bronchitis. Peanuts can also make shaving and vanishing cream.
