ROAR Behavior of the Week Clean up after yourselves. This includes trash on the tables, floors, in the classrooms, hallways, bathrooms and the cafeteria. It is important to take responsibility for your own mess.

Word of the Day Monday disposition (noun): the way that someone normally thinks and behaves Sample sentence: Howard’s disposition is often determined by the type of day he has at work.

Word of the Day Tuesday infer (verb): to make a guess based on evidence or reasoning Sample sentence: Since you didn’t show up for your first day of work, we will infer that you are not serious about the job.

Word of the Day Wednesday proficient (adjective): competent or skilled in doing something well Sample sentence: In order to be considered proficient in math class, you must score seventy percent or higher.

Word of the Day Thursday assert (verb): to express an opinion or fact in a confident manner Sample sentence: The lawyer will assert his client’s innocence despite the overwhelming evidence against him.

Word of the Day Friday contradict (verb): to disagree with what is being stated Sample sentence: The security cameras contradict John’s claim that he never left his house.
