CLASSROOM GUIDELINES

SHOW RESPECT AND COURTESY

Use an appropriate TONE OF VOICE. (not too loud or sassy!)

Use appropriate language.

Do NOT use the electric pencil sharpener during instruction or presentations (small hand sharpeners are provided at the back table for your convenience during class).

This is a “no cell phone” classroom. Cell phones will be confiscated if used during class.

FREE PENCIL DAY is the first day of each new marking period.

Mechanical pencils may be purchased BEFORE CLASS for 25 cents. Please do not interrupt class!

You get ONE DAY for each day of an EXCUSED absence to turn-in your work.

If your absence is UNEXCUSED, you will receive a ZERO for all assignments that day (including quizzes/tests and participation points).

ATTENDANCE POLICY Only 6 ABSENCES per term

3 Tardies = 1 Absence

HOMEWORK is accepted up to three days after solutions are provided to make your corrections.

GRADING POLICY

HOMEWORK 2 points for a homework check (you can use extra credit bucks for these) 5 points for turning in assignments that are COMPLETED with your CORRECTIONS

CLASSWORK 2 POINTS for warm-ups 5 POINTS for worksheets CANNOT BE TURNED IN LATE (unless special permission is granted)

EXTRA CREDIT BUCKS can be used for Homework checks/late work Extra points on quizzes/tests Extra points on the final exam

TERM GRADES Term work is worth 80%. The final exam is worth 20%. Credit/No-Credit and your G.P.A. are based on the TERM GRADE and your attendance.
