College Essay Peer Review Need your complete draft Need a group of 4

College Essay Peer Review First trade. On the bottom or back of your peer’s essay, write 1. your name. Read the essay. Consider the ideas and organization. Is it clear, focused enough, appropriate to the audience? Is the introduction engaging? Are ideas developed in a way that makes sense? Is there closure? Write comments next to your name. Try to give a specific positive comment and a suggestion for improvement or question.

College Essay Peer Review Second trade. On the bottom or back of your peer’s essay, write 2. your name. Read the essay. Consider the voice and word choice. Is there a sense of an original and unique voice and personality? Is language effective but not overdone? Are there lively verbs and precise nouns? Are there excess words or passive voice? Write comments next to your name. Try to give a specific positive comment and a suggestion for improvement or question.

College Essay Peer Review Third trade. On the bottom or back of your peer’s essay, write 3. your name. Read the essay. Consider the sentence fluency and conventions. Are there a variety of sentence structures? Does the syntax support the purpose? Are there excess constructions? Look for grammar and spelling errors. Mark on the paper. Write comments next to your name. Try to give a specific positive comment and a suggestion for improvement or question.

College Essay Peer Review Back to your own paper. Read the comments. Discuss with peers. Add a 4. Write what you think you need to do to improve your paper. Consider the comments of your peers, as well as the positive things you noticed from their papers that you might like to emulate.
