What Will Help? As with all presentation, please use common sense; this can cover a variety of issues that could cause you trouble: PRACTICE! Making a time limit is not something that you do automatically. Practice with family and friends. Practice in front of the mirror. Just practice! PRACTICE! Voice projection and eye contact are essential, but again, they are not automatic. Practice with others and make sure your voice is heard! Let PP or Prezi help you. Colors that I cannot read, cannot be graded. Use one of the program’s preset designs. These are designed to have non-conflicting color schemes that are easy to read Don’t overload your slides! If the font starts shrinking, you have too much. Remember that you do not want your audience reading instead of listening to you. Instead, only list the main ideas on your slides Proofread. Do not finish your presentation five minutes before class and leave yourself no time to look for errors. This is both embarrassing and preventable. A good idea is to have someone else read your presentation for errors Relax. You are presenting to friends. Don’t let nerves get the best of you!
