the value of the document for historians. 1. Origin: Introduce the Author Relevant background of the Time Period Describe the philosophy of the Author context 2. Purpose: Intended audience? For what purpose(s) was the document written/produced? 3. Value: the value of the document for historians. Provide and explain specific evidence from the document to support your answers. A minimum of two values must be proven. With reference to the origin and purpose, what is the value of the document for historians studying this event?

4. Limitation With reference to origin and purpose what may be some limitations of the document for historians? It is also important to be able to identify the thesis and the supporting evidence of the document (this has a lot to do with value) What is the thesis? Provide (using quotes) specific evidence the author uses to support their thesis
