A Note From Your Teacher: 3rd Grade News March 25th-March 29th, 2019 Ms. Strand- Strandk@Issaquah.wednet.edu A Peek at the Week: Mark Your Calendar: Math: In math this week, students continued to work on Module 5 on beginning to learn about fractions. They learned new vocabulary such as numerator, denominator, and unit form. Also, they focused on how to split up wholes equally and relating fractions to number bonds. Reading: This week, students continued their work in compare and contrast. They worked on their Author Study Project where they used two previously selected booked and began to compare and contrast them. They also began their presentations about their authors. In our Daily 5 reading, we stayed at 45 minutes of quiet, focused reading and are hoping to continue in growth.
