Welcome Back!!! Complete the Triangle Review Worksheet

Today’s Agenda Quadrilaterals Identifying Different Types Using Properties

Quadrilateral A four sided polygon

Parallelogram A quadrilateral whose opposite sides are parallel.

Rhombus A parallelogram with 4 congruent sides

Rectangle Parallelogram with 4 right angles

Square A parallelogram with 4 right angles and 4 congruent sides. A combination of a rectangle and rhombus.

Kite Quadrilateral where 2 pairs of adjacent sides are congruent.

Trapezoid A quadrilateral with exactly one set of parallel sides.

Isosceles Trapezoid Trapezoid where non-parallel sides are congruent.

Identification Activity

Example 1 What shape are we working with? 3b + 2 5a + 4 3a + 8 4b - 2

Example 2 The sum of the angles in a quad is 360˚.

HW Example #10 Determine the most precise name for the quadrilateral. A(-2,4), B(2,6), C(6, 4), D(2, -3)
