Daily Agenda: What Makes You Unique? Exit Ticket: Weebly Blog (balesl.weebly.com) Homework: Bring in a hard copy of your letter and an item for Friday that represents who you are in your letter.

Essential Questions: Who am I and how do I present myself? What are your strengths and weaknesses in English?

Standards: ELAGSE11-12W10: Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of tasks, purposes, and audiences. ELAGSE11-12SL1:b. Work with peers to set rules for collegial discussions and decision- making, set clear goals and deadlines, and establish individual roles as needed.

Standards: ELAGSE11-12W1: d. Establish and maintain a formal style and objective tone while attending to the norms and conventions of the discipline in which they are writing. ELAGSE11-12W2: c. Use appropriate and varied transitions and syntax to link the major sections of the text, create cohesion, and clarify the relationships among complex ideas and concepts.

Standards: ELAGSE11-12W2: e. Establish and maintain a formal style and objective tone while attending to the norms and conventions of the discipline in which they are writing.

You will be able to write an effective letter informing your reader of who you are. More importantly you will be able to acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses within American Literature.
