Day 144 Number theory with Closure (Day 2)

Introduction In everyday life, we meet numbers in various instances such as in calculations, in quantifying items, in measuring among others. These numbers vary, some are fractions, whole number, decimals and so on. These are just a few categories; there are others like rational numbers, real numbers and so on. In this lesson, we are going to look the closure property of real numbers under addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Vocabulary:  

Closure under arithmetic operation The a description of a situation where an operation on numbers of the same category gives rise to number of the same category as the first ones Real Numbers They are composed on all rational and irrational numbers This can be done in the notebooks or on vocabulary cards.
