Graphing Velocity vs. time Miss K starts to move. From 5-10 sec, she moves at a velocity of 10 m/s. By 15 sec, she is moving at 40 m/s. She then slows down to 20 m/s in 10 seconds.

Balloon-Powered Car Challenge! Create a balloon (air) powered race car for maximum speed and distance, and to demonstrate Newton’s Laws of motion. We will test and race them, measure distance, speed, velocity, and acceleration for PRIZES! You can build the cars out of any material, such as tissue roll, match box, spaghetti box, paper etc.

Questions to think/write about... Create and describe a plan to test changes in distance by using a balloon-powered car Basketball Team Challenge: How could you calculate your total displacement running during a basketball game? Cheerleader  Challenge: How could you test and calculate a flyer's velocity falling from a cradle?
