ENGLISH PROFICIENCY AVG IN ALL VALLEJO SCHOOLS By: Ronnel F Joshua C Floyd A

Procedure We chose the # of students in all schools and compared/related the data with their English proficiency test percentage. We predicted that the graph would have no correlation since there are so many points to graph.

03 - 04 VARIABLES # Sigma x 6.4 Sigma x^2 1.6474 Sigma y 18459 20041053 Sigma xy 35900.86 n 24

04 - 05 Variables # Sigma x 6.81 Sigma x^2 2.1273 Sigma y 17844 18786726 Sigma xy 5505.10 n 24

03-04 & 04-05 (added together) Variables # Sigma x 13.2 Sigma x^2 3.7747 Sigma y 36303 Sigma y^2 38827779 Sigma xy 41405.96 n 48

R = ?

Conclusion The graph came out as we thought with no linear correlation. Our “R” is .197, closest to 0, meaning there is no correlation and no line. We believe that maybe our numbers for sigma x and/or y are incorrect since we didn’t double check it. We only double checked the finding of “R”
