Introduction to Human Impact Environmental Science

January 8th, 2019 Objective: I can define ecological footprint and carbon footprint and explain how environmental scientists use them to measure human impact. Essential Question: What factors contribute to my ecological and carbon footprint?

Human Impact All living organisms need resources to grow, survive, and reproduce. Humans are no different in our need but we are drastically different in our use. We interact with the natural world in ways unlike any other species; as a result, we have a considerably greater impact on the natural world. How do humans impact the natural world?
