7th Grade Performing Arts Ms. Gomez Periods 6 & 7

Ms. Gomez’s Background 1st year at Marine View Middle School 3 years at Jammin’ Music and Arts Undergrad: Azusa Pacific University 2010-BA in Music Education Credential: University of Redlands 2013

Course Description & Goal Objectives This class will: Instruct students in a basic understanding of: Stage Performance Public Speaking Production Values Industry Procedure Students will participate in a variety of performer and audience experience throughout this trimester class.

Grading/Homework Policy Students will be graded according to the following weighted categories: Daily Participation = 10% of total grade Improv, Music Evaluations, Personal Reflections, etc. Short Skits = 20% of total grade Lip Syncs = 20% of total grade Fairytale Plays = 30% of total grade Headshot & Resume/Mock Audition = 20% of total grade Late Work: Late work will be accepted through the end of each unit. It is the students’ responsibility to bring each assignment to the teacher for grading/adjudication.
