What was China like in the Middle Ages? L/O: To investigate international history in order to compare past societies with our own. Outcomes: To describe some Chinese inventions and explain how they impact on our lives today L4/5 To make links (in detail) between the importance of different Chinese inventions L5/6

Why China? We are a small Island! We are international citizens! Understanding of world around us! Explaining how our lives have been changed by international discoveries Investigate how people from different cultures lived in the past Compare our past with that of others

Tasks: In pairs discuss task 1a and 1b. Then complete the task in your books. Do you agree with each other? Compare with the others on your table to see if they agree. Look at task 2. What is it asking you to do? How could you set out this work? Clues: spider diagrams? Tables? Sentences? It is up to you! Vocab: Any words you do not understand? Ask your friends Look it up Ask me!
