Properties of Waves Part 2
The Doppler Effect Doppler effect – the frequency change due to the relative motion between a source of sound or light and an observer.
When the source moves toward the observer the effect shortens the wavelength, and lengthens those moving away from an observer

Electromagnetic Spectrum Electromagnetic waves (e.m.) show all the properties common to all wave motion. They can be reflected, refracted, and diffracted and can produce interference patterns. In a vacuum all e.m. waves travel at the speed of light 3.0 X 10^8 ms^-1
