Lethal Agents Introduction

Do Now How do drugs impact your life?

What is a drug? A substance that produces a physiological or psychological affect that is significant, occurs within a reasonable time after dosing, and results from an easily ingested dose. Some drugs are legal with a prescription, others are not legal in any circumstances.

Drug Abuse Drug abuse use of illegal drugs using a drug in a way that it is not intended using a drug in an amount more than prescribed

What do we know about drug abuse? How does it impact individuals? How does it impact families? How does it impact communities?

What do we need to know about Lethal Agents? What are the different forms of drug dependence? What are the different classes of drugs? What is the Controlled Substance Act? How is drug evidence collected? What are the techniques investigators use to analyze drugs?
