Dealing with Debt Describe a situation when you were owed something. How did you feel when they didn’t pay it back? Ultimately what did you do to get back your money or did you just let it go?

Starting the Revolution Look at the last two ideas that led to the revolution Group of savannah map, storybook, and skit Finding the sequence of events to make sure we get what we need covered today

Stamp Act of 1765 The British government went into debt during the 7 Y war (F&I war too) This was the first time colonists had to pay without representation in parliament Stamp Act was a tax on licenses, Newspapers and documents Often led to swift and violent protests against the tax collectors and British Officials in the state James Wright made sure Georgians paid the stamp act but eventually it was repelled

Intolerable Acts Boston Tea Party occurred in 1773 in protest to the Tea act British crown wanted to punish the colonies for this action British also closed the port of Boston This caused the colonists to have a continental congress Wright was so strong that he pressured Georgia to not send a rep to the congress

Seeing the skit In your group of four I want you to come up with a skit One character is Royal Governor and three others are colonists Have the Royal Governor give an order and the three are talking about and showing what they think of it

Ziploc Paragraphz Write 6 sentences on a topic of your choice. You must have a topic sentence, supporting detail sentences, and a concluding sentence. Write each sentence on one line. Skip lines between your sentences. Cut your sentences out. You should have 6 strips. Put them in a baggy. The next day switch baggies with another student.
