Social Change Club Charities

What Charities Does the Social Change Club Support?

The money collected from activities, such as non-uniform days and bake sales is divided between the 4 houses. However each house supports and comes up with events to generate money for specific charities.

Atalanta House supports local refugees in Chamby & Clarens. Who are refugees? -People who are forced to leave their home, for their own safety, as a result of significant conflict (usually war) - The particular shelters we are going to support are in Chamby (13 - 18 year olds) and Clarens (all over 18 year olds) -Nationality: Afghanistan/ Eritrea

Atalanta House supports local refugees in Chamby and Clarens. -There will be 12 boxes by the Christmas Tree in the students’ entrance in which you can donate school supplies, clothes and sanitary products for the refugees in Chamby. -Idea of a reverse advent calendar: instead of taking a chocolate each day, you donate something on one of the 12 days instead. -Things to donate for the refugees living in Clarens : Warm clothes (specifically gloves, hats, scarves, socks and warm tops mens size small and medium)

Diana House supports Burkina Faso Mission? -To enrich education for children in Burkina Faso, with a specific emphasis on girls. -To support revenue-increasing activities for women, including efforts to give them greater access to work.

Diana House supports Burkina Faso -Looking for sponsors in the short term for the small-scale enterprise grants (approx. 120.-CHF per beneficiary for the coming year). -Continuing our contact with the Souli school with the plan to implement another project to improve its infrastructure in the summer 2017

Vesta House supports Cartons du Coeur -Soup Kitchen which provides homeless people with long lasting food and sanitary products -Boxes in the lounge to collect them

Vesta House supports Food Security -Soup Kitchen which provides homeless people with long lasting food and sanitary products
