Digital Literacy Framework (developed by the BC Ministry of Education (draft form): Research and Information Literacy - searching for information and determining which information found on the internet is legitimate or real Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making -using technology to solve problems and map out solutions Creativity and Innovation -creating exciting and innovative digital media Digital Citizenship -choosing safe websites, ensuring password security, sharing information and photos online, talking and texting with others appropriately, cyberbullying – recognizing it, avoiding it and helping to stop it, building a positive digital footprint, copyright and when to turn technology off Communication and Collaboration -collaborating with others using technology and building shared representations of our learning Technology Operations and Concepts -basic understanding of computer technology (including software and Web 2.0 tools), transferring skills and understandings to new programs
