Romeo & Juliet Act III

Vocabulary idolatry: extreme admiration, love, or reverence for something or someone reconcile: to restore to friendship or harmony; settle, resolve

Vocabulary exile: expel and bar someone from their native country, typically for political or punitive reasons; banish fickle: changing frequently, esp. as regards to one's loyalties, interests, or affection gallant: brave; heroic

Terms Allusion: An expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference. Example: “I was surprised his nose was not growing like Pinocchio’s.” Example: “He was a real Romeo with the ladies.”

Terms Symbol: A thing that represents or stands for something else, esp. a material object representing something abstract Example: American flag
