Classifying Polygons Objective; I can describe a polygon.
Reflecting over the x-axis and y-axis
Repeating Figures and Symmetries How can tessellations be made with repeating figures? What four types of symmetry do you look for in repeating figures?
Symmetry Figures are identical upon an operation Reflection Mirror Line of symmetry.
Line symmetry 1. Line Symmetry (can be called reflectional symmetry)– if you can fold a shape and have the edges meet  The place where you fold is called.
Reflection Symmetry Where one half is of an object is the reflection of the other.
Symmetry Two points, P and P ₁, are symmetric with respect to line l when they are the same distance from l, measured along a perpendicular line to l.

SYMMETRY, EVEN AND ODD FUNCTIONS NOTES: 9/11. SYMMETRY, EVEN AND ODD FUNCTIONS A graph is symmetric if it can be reflected over a line and remain unchanged.
Transformations A rule for moving every point in a figure to a new location.
Warm up What type of transformation is shown? Write the algebraic representation. Write the coordinates of the original triangle after reflection over.
Reflections. Reflect the shape across the x axis Graph the following coordinates, then connect the dots (2,3) (2,5) (5,5) (5,6) (7,4) (5,2)(5,3) What.
