1st Period Divide students into two teams: half the room vs. the other half of the room. Teacher reads the definition: This type of post-secondary institution offers employment- preparation skills for trained labor, such as welding, culinary arts and office management. Most programs last between 6 months and 2 years. When the teacher reads the definition, students must provide the word. Students who know the answer stand up. Those who don’t know the answer, but wish to “bluff” the answer stand up, also. The first person to stand up, will get to go first, and answers for their team. If the student provides the correct answer, count the number of students standing and award that number of points to the student’s team. If the student answers incorrectly, count the number of students standing and deduct that number of points from the student’s team.

Teacher reads the definition: This type of post-secondary institution offers two-year degree and certification programs, resulting in industry certification, an AS degree and an AA degree. Completion of an AS or AA degree at this type of school (in Florida) guarantees acceptance into any Florida Public University. When the teacher reads the definition, students must provide the word. Students who know the answer stand up. Those who don’t know the answer, but wish to “bluff” the answer stand up, also. The first person to stand up, will get to go first, and answers for their team. If the student provides the correct answer, count the number of students standing and award that number of points to the student’s team.
