Finding the Inverse Matrix Day 2 Get a new Purple Sheet and be ready for a warm-up!

Warm-Up Find the inverse of the following matrices. 9 −1 0 0 −7 −7 −6 4

Activity Find the inverse of each of the matrices in the first section of your worksheet. Once you are done, do not move on until you are given direction to do so.

Activity In the next section, find the inverse matrix and then use scalar multiplication to multiply the coefficient through the new matrix. You will most likely get fractions/decimals. Do not move on to the next section until you are told to do so.

Activity In the last section, use your calculator to find the inverse of the matrices. See if you can figure out how to do this on your own. You will get fractions/decimals in your answer depending on the settings in your calculator.

Closure Find the inverse of the following matrices using your calculator. 8 5 0 −1 8 3 −2 −2
