What is a Relation! Examples of Relation! A relation is a set of ordered pairs! Examples of Relation! x2 (squaring) is a function "f(x) = ... " is the classic way of writing a function

Ways it could be expressed! These can be expressed as a table of value, a graph, a map, and many more! How is relation a function? What makes a relation a function is because if the Y value is only with the x value! Examples of a relation to a function! YES NO 12 12 43 13

What is the Domain of a function? For a function f defined by an expression with variable x, the implied domain of f is the set of all real numbers variable x can take such that the expression defining the function is real. The domain can also be given explicitly.

What is the range is a function? The range of a function is all the y values. A real world Example! Mr. loisel earns $12 an hour! 1x12=12 2x12=24 3x12=36 4x12=48

Examples of possible values for Domain and range!
