Go to a table and answer one of the key questions….. To what extent was the policy of peaceful co-existence a reflection of changing personalities in the soviet leadership. How do you think the US would have viewed Russia’s policy of ‘peaceful co-existence’? How far do the agreements over Austria and Finland 1955-6 show that Khrushchev had changed the nature of super power relations? Does there seem to be a ‘thaw’ so far? Write these questions in the middle of the table so they can annotate.
