What is persuasive text? Presenting a point of view or an argument to influence others or to sell something.

Why do we do it ? To persuade, convince, argue, or sell to others our point of view, opinion or belief. Ryan Johnston (2009) defines persuasive text as, "any print, non-print or multimodal source of information which aims to position an audience to share a point of view, or to accept a product or service."
