Class Agenda 3/5/15 ACT Prep Presentations Poetry Analysis Gallery Walk and Reflection Socratic Seminar SS Reflection CLO: Today you will, orally, justify your opinion using content from the book as a support in a Socratic Seminar with expanding discussion card questions and phrases such as “While ________ makes a good point, it appears to me that…” or “I would like to challenge that idea by saying that…”

Poetry Analysis Gallery Walk Look at the annotations from all three sections of the poem Take notes on these sections in your note-catcher (from last class) 12 minutes Turn the page and answer question on the back: Why did Achebe choose the title for his book from this poem? Connect the poem to the book using specific phrases and events from the poem and the book. 10 minutes Turn the packet in the period basket when you finish.

Socratic Seminar EVERYBODY will sit in inner and outer circle to speak Use notes! Use your text!
