Document Analysis The First Confiscation Act 1. With a partner, read the document carefully and answer the questions 2. How does the First Confiscation Act fit into this discussion about resources and/or goals and how long the war lasted? 3. Can we add anything to our charts?

Independent Work #1 Answer this question: Review pages 31-46 in your textbook and complete the tasks below. #1 Answer this question: How did the Union and the Confederacy mobilize for war? #2 Add any significant information to your charts. (*HINT* Strategies, Resources, etc.)

Homework Read and take notes on pages 47-49 in your textbook. How were the cases of Merryman, Vallandigham, and Milligan significant in term of civil liberties? What do they show us about Lincoln’s leadership in the war? We’ll have a short notes quiz in class on Monday. Review all Unit 2 materials, pgs. 31-49, and the Crash Course video.
