#1 Keep it Clean! During lab activities, clear off table tops of any unnecessary items, and make sure the floor around your work space is clear of bookbags, jackets, books, etc.

#2 No eating or drinking.

#3 Notify your teacher of any allergies or health concerns before beginning a lab that may involve them.

#5 Long hair must be tied back during any labs involving hot plates, flames, or liquids.

#6 Wear safety goggles when working with chemicals or open flames.

#7 Act responsibly and carefully.

#8 Use caution when working with glassware, hot plates, and chemicals. Notify your teacher of any glass breaks or chemical spills. If you or a classmate gets cut or burned, notify your teacher immediately. c. Do not breathe in the fumes of any chemicals.

#9 Do not use any equipment or lab supplies without completely understanding its use and without permission from your teacher.

#10 Clean up your work area as you finish each lab. Return all supplies to their proper location at the end of the lab. Clean out sinks! Put all garbage in the trash can. You are required to finish cleaning up before you may leave the room.
