Inquiry Lab Can you handle an investigation -what do you already know? -this is considered a Performance Assessment

Does ice melt faster in saltwater or in tap water? Available materials: ice cubes, water, salt, beakers, measuring cups/spoons, thermometers, stop watch If you need something ask, I may have it! What you will do: Formulate a hypothesis Design a test for the hypothesis Give to another group Create a final draft from the other group’s critique

Procedure continued: When designing the experiment: Include all possible steps Materials list Be specific with variables, measurements, times, etc. Have constants and controls! Other group’s responsibilities: Conduct the investigation given to you Take note of any mistakes or missing needs Fill out critique and hand back Need to get this finished today!
