Where she was born Clara was born at North Oxford, Massachusetts.

Where Clara worked Clara worked as a teacher at nearby schools. Then later on taught at Bordentown, New Jersey.

Clara Barton’s Idea She brought up the Bureau of Records to Abraham Lincoln and he approved it. This would allow her to find missing soldiers during the Civil War, which she helped locate about 20,000 soldiers.

What she studied She studied French, German, ancient history, and science.

Where she went to school Clara Barton went to Clinton Liberal Institute in New York.

Clara’s Life Clara has never married or had kids. At age fifteen, Clara taught at local schools.

History events during her life time New Mexico and California becomes a part of the U.S. (1846- 1848) The Civil War (1861- 1865)

Who Influenced Clara Barton? Her dad used to tell her stories about war. Her brother was sick and she needed to take care of him.
