Today’s focus Descriptive Research: designed to provide an idea of what is occurring at a given moment in time.

Types of Descriptive Research Case Studies: in depth study of a few individuals. Naturalistic Observation: observing behavior in its natural setting. Surveys: list of questions to collect info from a large population.

Strengths Captures the current state of feelings, thoughts, or behaviors of individuals. Allows further development of questions.

Does not determine relationships or causation. May be unethical. WEakness Does not determine relationships or causation. May be unethical. How?
