Size of Space Needed size will be determined by those who use it. Large: communicate “feelings of openness, grandeur, or freedom” May create an overwhelming feeling making you feel small or lost. Example: Sports Arena Small: Cozy, intimate, comfortable Too much in the room (people or furniture) may feel crowded.
Arrangements of Space Make an area appear larger: Hanging a mirror Big windows Make an area appear smaller Clustering furniture Adding a rug
