Opening Journal 5: What is an autobiography and could writing one be considered an act of ego?

Unit 1 How are writers influenced by the social, political, and philosophical ideas of their time? What are the effects of persuasive techniques used in writing?

Performance Tasks Recall- What does Franklin argue will lead to a perfect life? Analysis- Assess the characteristics of human habit and temptation and conclude definitively why Franklin failed at his experiment and the necessary conditions under which any human could succeed. Evaluate/Synthesize- Create your own personal rules and daily schedule that would lead one to perfection. How would Franklin have viewed your ideas? Use details from the text that give insight to his personality to support your answer.

Closing Lets create rules to live by in order to be happy. Also, create a daily schedule that would lead to a perfect productive day.
