Happy Monday November 20! Jaguar Jumpstart Write in your agenda book. Have your Lesson 20 homework out on your desk to be checked. Clear your desk for the quiz.

Lesson 22: Solving Equations Using Algebra Standard 7.EE.2.a: Solve word problems leading to equations of the form px + q = r and p(x + q) = r, where p, q, and r are specific rational numbers. Compare an algebraic solution to an arithmetic solution, identifying the sequence of the operations used in each approach.  Objectives/Outcomes: Students use algebra to solve equations (of the form 𝑝𝑥 +𝑞 = 𝑟 and 𝑝(𝑥 +𝑞) = 𝑟, where 𝑝, 𝑞, and 𝑟 are specific rational numbers). Students identify and compare the sequence of operations used to find the solution to an equation algebraically, with the sequence of operations used to solve the equation with tape diagrams. They recognize the steps as being the same.
