The Importance of Play Wendi Lowe

Play Improves Social Skills Children being able to interact with other children in the playing environment, allows them to learn to work with and around others. Learn how to handle arguments/disagreements. Make friends.

Motor Skills Even playing the frowned upon “video games” is beneficial. These smaller movements help younger children improve their motor skills.

Reduces Stress When children have the chance to let out some of their energy, they are less likely to fight and suffer the symptoms from stress.

Exercise!!! Children playing, especially outside, gives them the chance to move around and be physically active.

Overall, Play is a GOOD Thing!!
