Build sentences using sight words. Write a narrative using detailed illustrations, sight words, and kid spelling (stretch out unknown words. What are we learning this week? I can classify objects into given categories. I can identify different types of motion. I can plan and carry out an investigation to explain how an object’s attributes affect its motion. I can explain how an object should move based on its physical attributes. I can compare two numbers and tell which one is greater. I can compare two sets of objects and tell which one is greater. I can compose teen numbers (11-19) by combining 10 and some more (ex: compose 11 using ten and one more.) I can decompose teen numbers (11-19) by breaking them down into 10 and some more. (ex: 13 can be broken down into 10 and 3 more) I can use drawing, dictating and writing to write a narrative. I can write a narrative with a beginning, middle, and end. With help from adults, I can use feedback from peers to make my writing stronger. With help from adults, I can use digital tools to publish my writing projects. With help, I can make connections between 2 individuals, events, or pieces of information in a text. With help from adults, I can identify the main idea and key details in a text. I can read my sight words. I can identify Thanksgiving as a holiday. I can compare and contrast how different families celebrate Thanksgiving. I can compare and contrast Thanksgiving today vs. long ago.
