8-16-16 TURN IN YOUR VOCAB In your comp. books: 1. Turn in your vocabulary, get out a sheet of paper and put your class period, first AND last name, and write WW1 List 1 Quiz. Today’s date: August 16, 2016 and write “ACT Minutes.” We will begin after the bell rings.

On Your Own Sheet of Paper Write: AH Eng II WW1 List 1 Write your first AND last name Write your class period Write your test version When you finish, turn both papers over so I can see you are done, and I will bring this to you. “What I Overcame” Read this essay quietly and wait until everyone is finished.

Objectives/Standards & EQs W.9/10.3a- Write narrative to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured events and sequences. EQ 5– Can I write about an actual or fictional experience effectively?  EQ 6– Can I present the reader with a clear and logical piece of writing?  EQ 7– Can I use story-telling techniques to develop experiences, events, and/or characters?  EQ 8– Can I maintain a coherent sequence of events?

Non-Fiction Narrative: Writing Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." Write a narrative about a time when you did something you thought you could not do. Be sure to include specific details so that a reader can follow your story. Be sure the reader can apply the “plot diagram” to your narrative
