Drafting one position ENG 102

Key Features This assignment is a 2-3 page draft that will: Describe one position on your issue Identify who holds that position Explain why those who hold that particular position do so

Key Features Your draft will also: Outline variations on the position . This reflects that some supporters of a position may define it somewhat differently than others or qualify their support in some way. For example, consider the current issue of collective bargaining: some might object to SB 5 because they believe it takes away the rights of unions; others because they believe it gives too much power to the private sector. These people hold the same general opinion, but for different reasons.

Key Features Your draft must include in-text citations and a Works Cited page in MLA style. For help with this assignment, consult FG chapters: 45, Synthesizing Ideas 49, MLA Style 31-36 & 38, Strategies, as needed

Outlining Your Draft I. What position are you focusing on? II. Describe it. III. Who holds that position? IV. Why do they hold it? V. What variations are there on this position? VI. How are they different?
