Unit 22, Day 4

Review the meaning of capacity. Compare the capacity of various containers.

In the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears we matched bowls with the bears:

Which container will hold the most? When we measure how much a container will hold we are measuring capacity.

Capacity Capacity... the maximum amount a container will hold. So lets fill it up to the very very top! We can measure Capacity!

Order the containers from the most to the least capacity:

What are we learning? What does capacity mean? Why is it important for us to learn about capacity?

Now lets do some more practice!

Directions: Cut each container and order from greatest to least capacity.
