Discrete Uniform distributions GCSE Statistics Discrete Uniform distributions

15 May 2019 A discrete uniform distribution is one where all the x values are discrete numbers and the probabilities are all the same. The throwing of an unbiased die is a discrete uniform distribution since the outcomes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are discrete numbers and all these outcomes have the probability of occurring of 1 6 . Outcomes (x) 1 2 3 4 5 6 Probability p(x) 1 6 Always add the probabilities together in a table of this type to make sure they add up to one P(x<3) means all the probabilities less than 3
