Presentation transcript:

Social Action Pitch Foyle Hospice Daniella Vincent

Why I chose Foyle Hospice Foyle Hospice was a part of my life a few years ago as I attended a weekly support group I decided I want to do something that would benefit and aid them now that I have a good chance to do so Gives me a chance to work with second years of the course, thus expanding my skills and connections

Background Foyle Hospice mainly provides palliative and end-of-life care for patients suffering from Cancer. Also supports those with other life-limiting illnesses. They also have support groups for the patient’s family or loved ones who have been affected. They hold many public events for people of all ages to help them raise money for their cause

My Idea/Plan To make a trailer (1 minutes 30 seconds) and posters promoting the current second year project of the “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” music video This will help to promote the video and thus gain more traction to the video To then to put the posters up around the college (and other places), to show the trailer across the college and to then set up a stall to sell the CDs for the music video Could possibly film people’s reactions/thoughts about the trailer/music video and compile them together Record the day selling the CDs (possibly time lapse – to be discussed) Dates/Deadlines: This week – set up client interview Have finalised crew by the end of the week December 1st – Selling the CDs Have everything done before December 16th for review/feedback

My Contacts  Chief Executive of Foyle Hospice, Donall Henderson – who I will contact and set up a client interview with this week. Ethan McLaughlin – Second Year contact who will be providing me with the footage of the music video and also help with feedback on the trailer as I go.

Crew I will need  At most, 2 other people within the crew, preferably one other person Someone who is good with working in Photoshop so that they can be the main person with making the posters Someone who is good at communicating with others and able to assist with selling the product as best they can

Thank you for listening
