Bell Ringer: Thursday, March 8th Here’s your vocab word: BOWDLERIZE (verb) Your task? Copy down the word and make your BEST GUESS at a definition. I’ll reveal the answer to you after you are finished.

Bowdlerize (verb):To remove material that is considered improper or offensive from a text, esp. with the result that it becomes weaker or less. Sentence: Many people do not want Huck Finn to be bowdlerized.
