Presentation transcript:

Indian Education Socratic Seminar Prep What evidence can you find of Junior’s internal conflict about where he comes from and what he wants in life? Where can you find contradictions between what Junior says and what he actually means (are there times where you feel like he’s being sarcastic) and what does that show about his character? Give two examples, and explain each. Why is it a big deal that Junior kissed a white girl? What does it mean to him? What does he mean when he says he kissed goodbye to his tribe? Junior says the tribal newspaper runs his picture side by side with those of his former classmates. Why does he mention that? Do YOU think he seems arrogant? How, in general, would you describe Junior’s years of school and education (AKA the theme about education)?
